Don't cha just wish that somewhere in the universe, there existed a simple to use guide on dating? Perhaps a blog of some sort that explained the types of guys that existed, with a list of qualities, tips and bits of knowledge? Don't cha just wish there was a section on that guide dedicated to Asian guys, and how to understand the types of Asians, be it Chinese, Filipino, or Korean?

Who is Kimpoy?

Last week, Kimpoy Feliciano tweeted me out of the blue. For the very few of you who haven’t heard his name before, Kimpoy Feliciano (legally named Paulo Feliciano) is a Twitter/FB/Youtube sensation, a Filipino guy that would describe himself as normal with 300,000+  hard core girl Twitter followers who definitely disagree. Imagine a nice guy with a randomly enormous following that even the majority of showbiz doesn’t understand.  :)

That’s Kimpoy. He’s honestly a cool little dude.

Chatting With Kimpoy

Kimpoy thanked me for having mentioned him in a blog. Earlier, I compared Klout Scores of the “Most Influential Filipinos” on the internet, naturally including him in my blog. At the time, he was statistically  the third most influential Filipino in social media (Click Here To Read)–well now, he’s the first, the FIRST MOST INFLUENTIAL PINOY ON SOCIAL MEDIA–as I told him when he asked, “I included you in my “Most Influential” list because that is a fact. If you want to thank someone, you should probably thank Klout for making that information accessible. All I did was make a unique graph of the Most Influential Pinoys based on information presented on Klout, but you’re welcome all the same, little buddy. Kudos to making the list!”

One conversation later, I decided to blog up Kimpoy. And now, Jamich & Kimpoy have launched their first every Youtube Short Film together!

Kimpoy Feliciano’s fans coordinated a day to meet Kimpoy. As promised, Kimpoy showed up, making their day. The funny twist: Kimpoy fans had no idea they all just got casted in Jamich’s next film. They all starred as themselves, Kimpoy fans.  So at this very moment, dozens of Kimpoy fans will be watching themselves on Youtube. They had no idea they’d be watching themselves. Cute, di ba?

I can’t begin to explain this song in any way that makes much sense, let alone why I care so much about it. I picked a funny time to try.

At the age of 14–the most insecure age of my entire laugh–I started writing this song. It wasn’t dark or emo. I was. This song was everything else, the person I wanted to be in the world I wanted to live in. It was escapism. You know how Glee takes the most serious scenarios, constructs a thousand other unrealistic scenarios around it, and all those other distractions keep you laughing at what might otherwise make you cry? That’s my song. Though, mine is a little less PG, much more crazy.

I don’t just assume this little creation of mine will make people feel better about themselves. I know it will. By the same token, it will make people hate me, hopefully even an institution or two. I delve into so many art forms, soon too the art of “Deadma.”

Truth be told, I just want to make you smile. I think that’s as noble as any cause in this world.

I cannot make things that hurt you go away. But I can bring you into my parallel universe, soon enough.

Who is Tommy Mottola?

Tommy is primarily a music executive and record label producer. He is co-owner of Casablanca Records in a joint-venture with Universal Musical Group. He’s worked with a long list of big names, especially across South America–including Celine Dion, Destiny’s Child, Shakira, Gloria Estefan, the Dixie Chicks, Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen, and Billy Joel.

He’s credited with influencing the “Latin Explosion”  music genre. During this period, he produced albums under Sony for Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, and Marc Anthony.

What’s Viddy?

A video Apple Application, capturing only 15 seconds of video for immediate file sharing on Twitter/FB.

Viddy has been dubbed the instagram of video. On one hand, that’s a fitting title; Viddy is after all an apple application with the same basic principles that made Instagram so popular. On the other hand, Viddy may very well be the new Video of twitter. Like both Instagram and Twitter, Viddy is all about limiting you. Instagram has its one picture-at-a-time limit. Twitter has you at 140 characters. Now, Viddy cuts you off with 15-seconds of Video AND AUDIO.

Why does Sebastian think Viddy is more a future Twitter than an Instagram?–because what a person can tweet in 140 characters, he can say out loud and show in 15 seconds.

Why Viddy Will Kick Some Social Media Butt?

Facebook was a revolution for it’s time. The concept of connecting with the people you know online was “new” not so long ago. But now that we’re more connected than ever, our “information age” might be better dubbed “age information overload.” There is nothing any longer fascinating about the every detail of your every friends’ life. Most people want to see the cutest photos of their friend’s wedding without the three hours it takes to browse through the  three hundred photos he uploaded on Facebook. This of course is the beauty of twitter, instagram, and soon Viddy–it cuts people off; while still leaving people wanting more.

Limiting someone’s words to 140 characters may not turn everything that person has to say into rock solid gold, but it sure does make it easier digesting all the information out there.

Viddy’s got some firework potential! It’s twitter-esque! It’s brand-spanking new! And, a very few celebrities are starting to jump on board. Check it owt !!
